Ryan Group is the realization of a vision. A vision to transform the educational landscape in the country and to make quality education available for one and all. From humble beginnings to one of the largest privately run educational institutes in the country, the story of Ryan Group is a tale written in spunk, enterprise and a compelling desire for palpable social change.

It was in 1976 that Dr. Augustine F. Pinto, a graduate from the reputed Loyola College, Chennai, laid the foundation of this vision. The initial setbacks and challenges were never a concern for this man who had tremendous faith in God and in his dream. It is his commitment, prudence and visionary approach to school education that has made him one of the most venerated (respectable or admired word may be used) figures in the contemporary education sector.

Today, the Ryan International Group of Institutions has over 135 schools spread across 18 states in the country. The Ryan Group also is working towards establishing its off-shore school campuses and has already a school in operation in the Middle East. The vision that started four decades earlier has now become one of the most formidable success stories of our times.

He says, “Nearly four decades ago, God planted a seed in my heart and directed me to spread affordable, high quality English medium education within Indian society. Finally, our efforts, dedication and vision have helped us establish one of the largest chains of high quality education institutes in the country.”

For his contribution to uplift the education sector in the country, Dr. Pinto was awarded “Lifetime Achievement in Education Leadership” by the renowned Education World Magazine. He has also received the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Award for Environment keeping in mind his tremendous efforts to raise awareness about it. Today, the Ryan International Group of Institutions has nearly 2,50,000 students and 16,000 educators carrying his vision forward.

Educational leadership has a critical role in the transformation of society, and for change to happen, effective leaders are indispensable. After all, the belief that the quality of leadership that makes a significant difference to school and student outcomes cannot be overlooked.

If Dr. Augustine F. Pinto is credited with the vision of Ryan Group, it is the dynamic Mrs. Grace Pinto, who has put in great efforts to transform this vision into reality. Today, as the Managing Director of a Countrywide network of 135+ plus vibrant schools spread over 18 States of India, she is responsible for providing overall strategic direction to the organization and ensuring effective imparting of education to nearly a quarter of a million students. Amicable, articulate and aware, Mrs. Pinto is bestowed with leadership qualities coupled with a benevolent, dignified grace befitting her name. Love for humanity, unflinching commitment to make excellence in education a reality has been her lifelong mission. She has made a definite difference in the educational system by modernizing it and making it more relevant to today's times.

An ardent supporter of women's empowerment, Mrs. Pinto is associated with many social projects targeted to uplifting the poor and needy. She also takes a keen interest in promoting welfare of senior citizens and was awarded the prestigious Help Age Excellence Award for her support to this cause.

Mrs. Grace Pinto has won many awards for her outstanding contribution to education and social welfare. Some of these prestigious awards include: The National Educational Excellence Award, The Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award, The Global Education Award, The Women Achievers Award and The Seva Chakra Puraskar, to name a few.
